A zero gravity recliner is a specially designed chair that reclines the body back while lifting the legs to heart level in a way that mimics the weightless position astronauts assume during liftoff—equally distributing your weight. Chiropractors consider this the ‘healthiest way to sit’ and often even have these chairs in their clinics.  You will be able to independently adjust the backrest and the legrest of all of our powered zero gravity recliners.

Zero gravity recliners are ergonomically engineered to promote superior posture, remove all pressure and pain from the spine as well as the lower back and joints and improve circulation. Traditional recliners typically leave you slumped in the chair with your spine curved and pressure on the lower back.  Many of our zero gravity recliners also include therapeutic features such as heat, air massage, power pillow and power lumbar support making them ideal for long-term health benefits and overall comfort.

Yes, each of our ZGRs comes with recommended height and weight guidelines. Most zero gravity recliners support up to 300–400 lbs and accommodate users up to 6'3" tall, but we also offer some models for big & tall individuals. Always check the specs or ask our team for personalized recommendations.  We recommend looking at the chair’s dimensions versus that of your body to ensure the desired fit and experience.

Many of our zero gravity recliners are space-savers and only require 4-6” behind the chair when fully reclined.  Others may require at least 20” behind the chair when fully reclined.  It will depend on which model you are looking at and the space you are hoping to put it into.  Make sure you know your space requirements, including where you’d like to put it, how much room you need behind the chair. We offer free curbside delivery and white glove delivery for a small extra fee.  Most of our zero gravity recliners ship LTL freight throughout the continental US. 

• Free Curbside Delivery:  your chair is delivered on a pallet with typically 2 boxes.  One for the main body of the chair and the other for the padset. Assembly is typically very fast and all tools are included in the box. The hardest and longest part will be breaking down all of the boxes for disposal / recycling. Our delivery team will call you to schedule your delivery.
• - Pro Tip:  we highly encourage you to treat your delivery team well (offer them snacks/beverages; be kind). Even a small tip if you are happy with the service you’ve received. (They may bring your chair into your home, though they are not required to with a curbside delivery.)
• **If your box appears to be damaged in any way and you are concerned about the integrity of your chair, please:
• - Take pictures of the box
• - Refuse Delivery
• - Call us immediately at 803-574-9474 and explain what’s going on so that we can assist you
• White Glove Delivery:  highly recommended if you don’t want to mess around with assembling your chair or removing the boxes.  Also super handy if you don’t have any help or need to set the chair up or downstairs.  These are typically pretty heavy and a little awkward.  If time is an issue - white glove does require an extra week or two, depending on your area and the delivery team’s availability.
• - Your chair will first be delivered from the long-haul carrier to the final-mile white glove delivery company for scheduling with you for its final destination.  Don’t be concerned if your delivery status says ‘delivered’ for a White Glove order–that simply means that it is now in the hands of the white glove agent and you should expect a call to schedule your delivery.

Pro Tip: We strongly suggest that you request a 2-4 hr delivery window and a “courtesy call” or text when the freight company calls you to schedule your delivery.  They will not schedule your delivery with us; you will need to schedule your delivery directly with the freight company.  

For our zero gravity recliners that ship out LTL, delivery is typically within 7-10 business days depending on where you’re located and the season. Expect delays during busier seasons such as the end-of-year holidays.  That being said, it really depends on your location and the delivery team’s schedule.  We have definitely been surprised before by a speedier delivery. Expect to add an extra week for white glove delivery.

With White Glove Delivery, our team will bring your chair into your home, place it exactly where you’d like it and assemble it.  Then, they will remove the debris making it a very easy, hassle-free process.

Notes: 

• - White Glove delivery does take a bit longer. Your chair will be ship LTL for the long haul of its journey and then change hands to the final mile white glove agent.  
• - When you receive your tracking, it may show your chair as being delivered.  Don’t be worried!  This just means that your chair has been delivered to the final mile / white glove agent.  
• - Once the white glove team has your chair, they will call you to schedule your delivery.
• - Pro Tip: you can call them once the chair is delivered to expedite / get ahead of the delivery process. They will not deliver your chair without a scheduled appointment.  
• White glove fees are non-refundable. If for some reason you decide not to keep your chair, you will be responsible for boxing your chair back up and/or paying for a white glove pick up which can be pretty expensive.  If you’re not sure about the chair, we recommend keeping the boxing material to make it an easier and less expensive process.

We recommend white glove delivery if you are bringing your chair up or down stairs. These are often very heavy chairs that do sometimes require light assembly. If you cannot find help or manage moving the chair into your home by yourself and desired room of choice, we do recommend white glove delivery.  

Occasions where White Glove Delivery would be necessary:

• - Placing the chair up or down stairs
• - Physical impairment making moving the chair into your home and/or light assembly impossible
• - You prefer having it all done for you hassle free and don’t mind the extra fee or delivery time.

A few of our zero gravity recliners arrive fully assembled, but most of our more premium chairs require some light assembly.  All tools are included.  Assembly should be intuitive and take no more than 20-30 minutes tops.

For our premium wood / leather zero gravity recliners:

• - Putting the frame together
• - Installing the padset
• - Connecting the remote
• - Connecting to power

For our more traditional ZGRs:

• - Attach the backrest
• - Plug in your chair and enjoy. 

Our delivery team will not remove your old recliner.  We suggest trying to sell the old recliner on fb marketplace, nextdoor or other marketplaces such as OfferUp and Craigslist; give it to a friend in need or donate it to Goodwill.
